It's mainly a place were if you need something it's a close place to get it. Otherwise the selection is good and service is good.
Nice, quaint grocery store in this small town. Still bagging groceries and offering carry out. Hard working and respectful young people!
I like to support small town stores, but my wallet requires going to Alex for better deals. Toms also has a history of not automatically ringing up advertised sales - I have repeatedly learned the hard way to watch carefully when being run up and have wasted long periods of time waiting for an employee in the back to confirm a price for the cashier. The store is generally clean, and the cafe area is nice.
The owners and their staff are VERY patient, genuinely friendly and are always quick to go above and beyond and will do whatever it takes to help someone, even if your new to town and they have only seen you a few times before. They'll pitch in their own money for a little boy who's trying to buy something on his own for the first time then GIVE HIM THE CHANGE lol and all while making sure he's not embarrassed. These gestures and little acts of kindness aren't as common anymore, which to me, makes it even more impressive. I honestly can't come up with even one negative experience or interaction I've had in this store. Oh, haha I almost forgot to mention the food! Its akways fresh, reasonably priced and they actually carry a lot of items that you don't usually see in a small town store. Ok, ok, I think I'm done now lol but seriously Tom's Super Market...YOU ARE SECOND TO NONE.
Love their deli specials and most prices on grocery items are very reasonable. Their reduced for quick sale section is a joke however as the prices are not reduced enuf and most items are out dated beyond what wud normally be safe to eat. Staff is great, convenient location and good selection tho.
